Atlantic Salmon
A few words about Helen Barnhill, general manager of the capital city location Nov 14, 2024 I would like to take a moment to talk about Helen. I work for align technologies, a fortune 500 company around the corner from The Chophouse. About three years ago I started a program that would incorporate dental laboratories coming to Raleigh for an extended learning. This group would be staying locally and we wanted to offer them a great dinner while they were with us. There are a number of restaurants very close to the airport and in the beginning we tried three other venues. We finally went to The Chophouse and enjoyed the atmosphere and food so much we decided to use this restaurant solely for our events. At that time, Helen was not the general manager but was always present for each of our events and showed exceptional leadership skills, especially when I learned it wasn't her complete responsibility at that time. Since then, as Helen has taken over that responsibility, we have never had an event that was less than perfect. When you're dealing with multiple bookings, there are always things that can go wrong. A few times now we have had an issue with the wrong date being booked. Once I showed up at the chophouse with 25 unexpected guests. We have a set menu at The Chophouse and it needs to be organized and pre-ordered. Helen took one look at us and said 'I will work it out'. Within 20 minutes she had everybody seated and within an hour had all of the appetizers, salads and drinks delivered as if nothing was scheduled in error. I can't imagine what it took to pull that off but at no time did she make us feel bad for our mistake and made our guests feel like they were the most important people in the world. Recently I had to evacuate due to hurricane Milton from FL and I brought my mother and grandma with me from to one of these dinners. Helen came and sat with them and made sure they had everything they needed knowing they were worried. She took care of them like they were family. She is so loved by our team that we feel like she is in fact one of our team members. There are two factors that blow me away about Helen. Not only is she incredibly professional while still maintaining an atmosphere of fun but she is the most organized and efficient operations manager I've ever seen. You can see the respect her team has for her and how much they love their job because they have a boss that cares about them, sets clear goals and expectations. We have a number of choices when we come to Raleigh but I promise you as long as Helen is in place we will never go anywhere else for our events. Based on this a number of other programs in my company only use The Chophouse as well. My event alone spends on average $3500 to $6000 at every monthly visit and it's probably the best money our company spends per year. I don't know what positions are available for Helen but I would take her in my company in a second. I'm very grateful for her as a business partner and a very dear friend. Huge jumbo lumps! I'm from Maryland so I'm picky about crab dishes, but this one is fantastic!
Dry-Aged Ribeye**
When guests are in town, I've always taken them to Capital City! Never a complaint about anything we've ordered here! Tried the Dry-Aged Ribeye and it is rich in flavor and so tender. Definitely a go to selection when I'm craving rich beef flavorful steak now! Service was diligent and accommodating - highly recommended!
Hand-Cut Ribeye**
Excellent rib eye, food was delicious. Rib eye was soft and cooked to perfection. Atmosphere was great. Staff was excellent and attentive
Roasted Lobster Tail
First time going to Chops restaurant. Excellent service by Britain. Helen was so nice and welcoming, she sat with me and gave me ideas of areas to visit. Britain's service was excellent, all the staff were friendly. I did not felt out of place at all. The food was delicious. I enjoyed my birthday. Thank you Helen and Britain for a wonderful experience.
Chop House Bistro Steak
Surprisingly tender for a sirloin and full of flavor. Gorgonzola sauce was really yummy! :)

Dry-Aged Ribeye**
We had another fabulous dinner at The Chop House! Helen and Brittany/Kate were amazing as always! The food is wonderful but what brings us back is the excellent service at this restaurant. We will be back very soon!
Hand-Cut Ribeye**
We celebrated our 22nd anniversary last night and it was the best dining experience in the Triad. Andrea K. gave us the most memorable dining service we have had in years and the food was superb! Thank you for the fine dining memory. Jerry & Jodi
